This digital collage is a collaboration between Janet Kozak and fungi photographer A. Birchwood.
Janet was inspired to create her fungi series due to fungis ability to heal our bodies and make nutrients more readily available within the soil restoring and regenerating our planet in the process. Fungi break down decaying wood and other biomass loosening compacted clays and aiding in water retention and absorption as well. These oft-overlooked organisms cold endless wonder. Here Janet has combined layers of textures, photographs, colours, effects, and traditional Islamic designs to create a visually gripping abstract artwork.
This artwork reminds if to cherish ALL life, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.
The artwork is printed on environmentally mindful 290 gsm weight Hahnemühle Bamboo archival paper with high-quality inks, and is suitable for framing. Printed artwork dimensions are approximately 20 x 16 (square) with an additional 2? white border on all four sides.
The work is printed using museum quality, Fine Art Trade Guild approved Epson printers along with Epson Ultrachrome HDR inks. The paper selected and the inks used are archival quality and tests have shown colours last up to 70 to 80 years, and in some cases a lot longer.
